How aware are we about our health? How often do we get a medical check up? If we periodically check our health, should we consider our business "health" as well? The condition of our business, healthy or needing special attention can be checked by simple questions as in the following:

Is there any written documentation regarding roles and responsibilites for the negotiation or cooperation with our business partner?
In the business transaction with our customer or supplier, is there any standard operating procedure and administration in written to reduce the possibility of misunderstanding in the future?
Do we have professional or referrals to consult with regarding problems that may arise or to challenge our creative or pop up ideas?
Do we engage professional to draft the standard agreement which are commonly used in the company? Have we involved professionals to compose, review and/or negotiate the agreement?

We use indicators on our health conditions: green means healthy, yellow means needing awareness, and red means need help, so does our business. The more questions left unanswered, the more vulnerable is the business to any potential conflicts that may arise in the future, and serious attention is needed.

In most leading company, management consultant is required to develop business strategy or several fields such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Operation and Strategy. However, in practice, business decisions are often determined by the legal consideration. Here are some examples: there is a limit to the percentage structure of foreign shares ownership for both establishments of a new company and in the event of an acquisition of an existing company, as in the negative list for foreign investment in Indonesia.

Every agreement made with party from Indonesia has to made in Indonesian language as well. Why?
